ARINC's Integration, Modification and Maintenace (AIMM) Business Unit in Warner Robins, GA is looking for an Aircraft Program Manager to joing our team. As part of the Program Management Team, the ideal candidate will provide direct management and leadership for aircraft modification programs in a quick response environment.
Provide daily management of program activities in order to deliver a quality product to the customer while meeting program cost and schedule requirements.
Manage subcontractors and interface with the customer.
Schedule and coordinate with our program controls staff and the application of earned value analysis when required.
Handle program execution coordination with all required functional areas.
Monitor and report on contract performance, ensuring compliance with contract requirements including progress on specific activities, ensuring that customer forecast orders have been placed, and historical trends and calculations are tracked for future customer order projections, as required by management and/or contract requirements.
Coordinate with Engineering, Logistics, Production, and other activities to improve procedures and resolve problems.
Handle overall review and coordination with the program management team and senior management staff for approvals as required.
Perform proposal development including coordination of the cost and schedule estimates with all applicable functions, as well as, authoring management and past performance sections of proposals
To be successful in this position the ideal candidate will possess:
Knowledge of fixed and rotary wing military aircraft and associated systems and subsystems.
Experience in managing aircraft modifications in a development or production environment.
Experience managing FFP programs greater than $5M and multi-disciplined teams in an IPT environment.
Solid history in exceeding customer expectations & requirements. Qualifications To be considered for this role you will have seven (7) or more years of progressive experience in aircraft program management with at least three (3) years of project management in aircraft development or modification programs.
Proposal writing and technical interface with respective customers.
Experience with Subcontractor Management, Risk Management and Change Management.
Quality system to include ISO 9001 or AS9100.
Ability to develop and implement short and long term program goals.
Ability to develop and implement resource plans to support program.
Ability to meet cost, schedule, budget and operational goals for programs.
Demonstrated program leadership of cross functional project teams.
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Project.
Desired Experience:
PMP Certification desired.
Specific experience with aircraft communications, radios, mission and navigation systems.
Specific knowledge with respect to the FAA certification processes.
Education and Certification Requirements: Bachelors' degree in Business or Technical field required, Masters' degree preferred.
