About the Business Line Environment Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
Job Description

Our Atlanta, GA office is seeking a junior level project scientist to perform multidisciplinary functions on a variety of environmental projects.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 to 5 years experience in general soil and groundwater investigation, environmental due diligence, and general remediation.?

Primary responsibilities will include soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation oversight, data evaluation, remediation contractor oversight, and Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. Lead-based paint and asbestos experience a plus. The candidate must have report preparation skills, a general understanding of state and federal environmental regulations, and proposal preparation experience. The candidate will play a key role in turnkey remediation and restoration projects for national clients. The candidate must demonstrate creative problem solving and analytical skills, have superior writing skills, have a willingness to travel and/or conduct field work an average of 60 to 70% of the time, adopt safe working practices upon hire, and embrace a safe working culture.

Qualifications:

* Experience (1+ years) performing soil and groundwater sampling. Experience performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and compliance assessments a plus.

* Current OSHA 40-hour "HAZWOPER" training certification.

Asbestos inspector and/or lead-based paint certification a plus.

* BA or BS degree, preferably in an earth, environmental, geology, soil science, or engineering discipline.

* Excellent writing ability a MUST.

* Willingness to travel and/or conduct field work is a MUST.

* Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work productively and independently on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines.

* Proficient with standard office software including Microsoft Office.
