Employees will be responsible for home office support of pre-construction activities as well as managing construction activities in the field. Travel of up to 80% is required for this job opportunity. Duties Plan, direct and coordinate an entire construction project or part of a project depending on size Review and assess relevant drawings, specifications and instructions for functional area of responsibility Develop schedule and budget for construction and monitor for progress Develop or assist the Project Manager with the development of an overall site program for an area of responsibility including sub-contractors program Ensure, prior to work commencing, that all material, equipment, scaffolding, and other required materials are available Ensure all work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections and certifications are strictly adhered to Be fully familiar with the sub-contractors methods of construction and procedures to resolve any conflicts Coordinate and report on weekly and monthly basis on all progress matters and problem areas Hold regular meetings with the Project Manager and sub-contractors to review progress and resolve problems Ensure that the AMEC Safety Program is adhered to at the site by all personnel Ensure adequate, qualified supervision and skilled labor resources are employed to meet schedule requirements Supervise the final assembly and preparation of project as built contract documentsMinimum Qualifications and Experience Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or a related field with minimum 5 years experience in the Industrial Construction Industry. Equivalent experience in the Industrial Construction industry would be accepted in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
