Driver Trainer Job Description

Conducts maintenance classes and ARMY Remedial Driver Improvement Program classes to Military and Civilian applicants. Conducts 40 hour classroom and practical Bus Driver Training Program, develops training materials, updates lesson plans, training schedules, learning objectives, written tests for bus licenses. Conducts Psycho-Physical tests on each examinee. Administers driver performance tests on Government vehicles ranging from trucks to tractor/trailers, with proficiency, which will allow incumbents to pass the examination for the Road Test Examiner. Supports the Total Army Quality Program and the Army Community of Excellence Program.

Performs other related duties and assignments as required. Workers are expected to be available to work in other areas as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

Must be courteous to customers and fellow employees and perform duties in a safe manner. Must be able to work as part of a team, acceptably manage customer contact, and treat all company information as proprietary.

Qualifications:

Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge: Knowledge of the Army Transportation System. High school diploma or equivalent. 2-5 years experience. Applicant MUSTpossess a valid GA/AL Class "A" CDL Drivers License with P endorsement.
