Job Description:
I. POSITION PURPOSE:
The Senior Corporate Communications Specialist will work across all AGCO regions on the development, implementation, and coordination of AGCO s external digital presence, including the AGCO corporate website, AGCO s e3 website, AGCO s social media activities, and certain regional and functional websites. Responsibilities include strategic planning and monitoring of multiple social media channels and serving as the face of the company in the corporate blog. Also provides support to the Director, Global Distribution & Marketing as needed.
II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: KEY MEASUREMENTS:
Online community manager for global social media channels while benchmarking and researching best practices in social media
Position AGCO as a thought leader in the industry through social media channels, while engaging with customers, dealers & media.
Use latest technology identified in trainings and through research
Plan, author and coordinate AGCO Blog with brand and industry key messaging to increase brand awareness and market share
Provide excellent customer service by monitoring questions/comments across all channels and responding with information.
Liaison with global marketing teams to collect content for social media initiatives, and provide support
Train global communications team how to use the tool and utilize it s possibilities to improve job and industry knowledge
Website development
Maintain and develop AGCO s corporate website and e3 website to position AGCO as a leader in the industry
Develop strategies and techniques to optimize AGCO s visibility within online search tools
Help promote consistency among AGCO s regional and function websites to maximize the impact of AGCO s messages
Assist select functions with the development of their websites
II. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
The Senior Corporate Communications Specialist must have the ability to be forward thinking, able to seek out and apply new technologies.
Advanced knowledge of social media channels such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Wordpress, etc
Graphic design knowledge preferred
Basic HTML and SEO knowledge preferred
Knowledge of effective marketing and communication of corporate initiatives to external target group/s
Project Management knowledge of project planning and management
Foreign language skills are desirable but not essential
III. BUSINESS EXPERTISE:
The job holder requires strong knowledge of the agricultural industry. Product knowledge is a plus.
Comprehensive knowledge of corporate and target group goals and expectations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization skills to manage several time-sensitive projects at once.
Functional knowledge of the agriculture industry and product familiarity
Cultural awareness is essential
IV. LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
While this position does not directly manage other people, the Senior Corporate Communications Specialist will be required to work closely with marketing and functional managers throughout the corporation. Will require interaction at the VP and SVP level.
V. PROBLEM SOLVING:
This job requires a good degree of problem solving and analytical ability.
VI. NATURE OF IMPACT
This position will impact AGCO on a global basis. Through this position, AGCO will improve the way it projects its brand image in the marketplace.

IX. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor s degree in Business or Communications or related field is required. Journalism or Marketing emphasis is preferred.
Up to five years of professional communications or marketing experience is preferred, agriculture industry knowledge is a plus.
Online and social media experience required.
Foreign language skills are desirable, but not essential.
