Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

ARCADIS is looking for a Traffic Engineering Intern with interest and knowledge in traffic engineering, transportation modeling (micro, meso, and macro), and traffic operations.

* Type of projects include: Traffic operations studies, traffic simulation, and corridor studies.
* ITS design knowledge required.
* Qualified candidates must have an understanding of the traffic operation concepts, proficiency with Synchro, Corsim, Vissim, TransCAD, Cube, and Microstation is a plus.
* A qualified candidate must have an EIT, good verbal and written communication skills, and possess a valid driver's license.

Basic and Required Qualifications:
* Minimum years of experience: 0
* Education required: Junior or Senior currently attending an accredited college to receive a BS Degree in Civil Engineering.
* Registrations/Certifications required: EIT
* Skills required: Proficiency with Microstation, interest and knowledge in traffic engineering, transportation modeling (micro, meso, and macro), and traffic operations, ITS design knowledge required

Additional and Preferred Qualifications:
* Education preferred: Masters student in Civil Engineering

* This position does requires travel. Travel amount is negligible.
* A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
* This position does not manage others.
