In a DevOps team with the Product Owner Big Data Infrastructure Architecture aswell as peers from the applications team's side and business, your coreresponsibility is to design and implement operations processes of our Big Datasolution. Within the DevOps team, you are the operations lead of the big data infrastructure platform formarketing and sales in Mercedes-Benz USA.
You will be responsible for:
- Operation of the entireplatform and services
- Designing, implementing and enforcing aholistic operations concept
o Collaborate on operations conceptwith our offshore partner in India
o Definition of roles andresponsibilities for the solutions framework
o Operations of the full solution that spans from mainframedatabase to Microsoft Azure data warehouse
o reporting and dashboard solution - the solution also includescapabilities for our scientific data engineers
o Development of cost allocationmodel to our business
- Implementation of a governance in collaborationwith the applications and business teams
o Institute a content governance model, includingrequirements for content onboarding, retention rules, metadata used, contentapproval, and publishing process
o across all roles and regions, measure, track,and analyze results to provide data-driven recommendations for maximizing theefficiency and effectiveness of content
- Ensure consistent and sustainable security architecture of the overall platform.
Bachelor's Degree(accredited school) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in:
· Computer/Information Science
· Information Technology
Knowledge,Skills & Abilities
Should have 3 years of working experience, mainly we aresearching highly specialized experts in Big Data (Infrastructure), cloud oroperations. Excellent skills in communications with business on all levels.True team player.
Musthave extensive knowledge of /experience in:
Ø Dashboardand reporting software – e.g. Tableau, Cognos or PowerBI
Ø Cloud:MS Azure (platform)
Ø Databaseand Data warehouse technologies
Ø Datacatalog and modeling software like Erwin, Alation
Ø DevOpsand Scrum working models
Ø Hands-onexperience with major Big Data technologies and frameworks including Hadoop,MapReduce, Pig, Hive, HBase, Oozie, Mahout, Flume, ZooKeeper, MongoDB, andCassandra
Ø experiencewith Big Data solutions deployed in large cloud computing infrastructures, mainfocus on Azure
Ø Strongknowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Java, Linus, PHP,Ruby, Python
Ø BigData query tools such as Pig, Hive and Impala
Ø ProjectManagement Skills:
o Ability to develop plans/projects from conceptualizationto implementation
o Ability to organize workflow and direct tasksas well as document milestones and ROI's and resolve problems
Ø Provenexperience with the following:
o Servers, storage, networking, and dataarchival/backup solutions
o Industry knowledge and experience in areas suchas Software Defined Networking (SDN), IT infrastructure and systems securityand cloud or network systems management
o ITIL v4
