This position is located in Athens, GA and does not offer relocation assistance. Must be within a reasonable commuting distance. If relocating to the Athens, GA, please specify on the application.

The Northeast Health District is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Clarke County Health Department. Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols. Provides services in all programs; WIC, Family Planning, Women's Health, STD, etc. to the general public. Assesses each patient's condition, develops a plan of care, provides treatments, educates patients, and makes referrals as appropriate. Provides outreach services and other key preventive health services to the community.
 
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of PHN experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
OR
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification 

Annual salary $47,000. Plus, generous benefits include 12 paid holidays, annual and sick leave, health insurance, and retirement plans.

Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures. Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations. Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree/diploma in Nursing from an accredited college AND One year of PHN experience AND Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
