Job Description

The Librarian/Administrator (LA) works closely with the Altium-Nexus master librarian to build Altium-Nexus components and may assist in training of new and existing Altium-Nexus resources. The LA may also manage the Altium-Nexus eCAD tools and library functions when needed to backfill for the Master Librarian/Administrator.

Responsibilities:

  • Modifies and creates new parts in the libraries
  • Creates schematic symbols, shapes, templates, 3D models in for the Altium Nexus Library
  • Assists engineers with training and use of the Altium Nexus tool
  • Supports eCAD, mCAD and PLM integration
  • Supports development of tool automation and governance
  • Interfaces with tool vendor related to support
  • Works with global sites and responds to requests in a timely manner
  • Uses established policies and procedures to complete work assignments.
  • May be required to use specialized computer applications to perform duties.
  • Work includes providing training and task assignments to other librarians
  • Supports and adheres to Company’s core values
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedure manuals, schematics, data books, handbooks, etc. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Needs to speak English


Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Computer Skills

  • Ability to proficiently utilize standard computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processors, Database tools, Altium CAD tools, web browsers, email, and Windows.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
