Candidate will be provide Advisory and Assistance Service (A&AS) to the F-15 Systems Program Office at Robins AFB, GA, including engineering, program management, airworthiness certification, technical, and logistics support for the electrical systems, avionics and defensive systems, mechanical systems and structural programs on the F-15 aircraft. Specifically, tasks will include ensuring WR-ALC receives engineering and technical support for aircraft avionics, defensive systems, mechanical and structural systems support as well as technical support for current and future modification programs, including participation in Multi-Function Team (MFT) meetings and interfacing with AFLCMC/WWQ (F-15 SPO) customers, initiation and execution of acquisition/management actions, tracking requirements throughout all acquisition phases, program documentation and identifying unallocated and improperly allocated requirements. All tasks will be in support of the National Guard Bureau and the Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Command Test Center (AATC). The successful candidate will provide expertise in the following areas: acquisition and life cycle management, requirements formulation and tracking, financial management, F-15 current and future systems and architectures, test requirements, modification paperwork. Candidate will operate in multidisciplinary teams of industry, government and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, scientists, pilots and other aircrew. Candidate must have a can-do attitude and an open mind to develop new visions for F-15 systems integration, avionics, and tactical applications.
Candidate should have at least 5 years experience in practical engineering and/or acquisitions in support of military aircraft acquisitions/sustainment, strong desire to learn new systems and propose new ideas for aircraft subsystems design. The candidate must have a strong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills. The successful candidate should have good analytic skills and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment. The candidate must have strong verbal and written communications skills; a background in special access programs is highly desired. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
10 years experience in practical engineering and/or acquisitions in support of military aircraft acquisitions/sustainment. Experience in fighter aircraft operations.
B.S. in technical discipline is required, preferably in engineering (aeronautical, electrical, astronautical, mechanical, systems). Masters degree in a technical discipline is desired.
Current Secret Security Clearance Desired. Required to be capable of gaining a Top Secret Security Clearance.
